Anne-Marie Nicholson, better known just by her first name “Anne-Marie” is a famous modern R&B singer, songwriter and three-time karate champion.

She was born and raised in Essex, England in the family of Wayne and Sue Nicholson. Anna-Marie was so keen on music in her early years, and her parents did a lot to help her develop her skills. At the tender age of 12, she has already become a local star, having acted in the famous production “Whistle Down the Wind”. By the way, her parents didn’t want her to become a professional actress, that’s why she attended “Les Misérables” audition secretly from them – and she was accepted! Since the earliest years Annie-Marie performed on the stage as a singer, and besides found enough time for attending karate workouts. She became a multiple karate champion!

After school, she entered Palmer’s College but didn’t finish her education, because her career in the music industry has made a fast leap forward. One of her friends helped her to record a song at “Elton John’s Rocket Studios”. The track “Summer Girl” immediately gained wide popularity. Her bright sunny talent was noticed by the reputable English-born singer Ed Sheeran. They remain friends till now, and Ed did a lot to help Anne-Marie develop as a music artist. She guested on the several tracks of the band “Magnetic Man, then contributed her vocals to the album “We the Generation”, produced by Rudimental band.

In 2015 she finally presented her debut solo set of songs “Karate EP”, which consisted of three compositions plus the remix of the track “Chloe Martini”. The EP enjoyed wide public success and got positive reviews from critics.

Having made a bright debut, she continued with cementing her position of the brand-new pop and R&B star. Anna-Marie released a track “Rockabye” in collaboration with a Jamaican singer Sean Paul. She also presented the track “Friends” with a mysterious DJ Marshmello.

In April 2018 she presented her first full-length album “Speak your mind”. It was accepted quite well with the audience and critics. Now Anne-Marie is working on her third set of songs.
