Steve Falcone (father)

Ben’s father is a brilliant but unconventional person, about which the stellar film director wrote in his book “Being a Dad is Weird”. Stephen spent the major part of his life in Carbondale, Illinois. He encouraged his sons Ben and Flynn to act as they were kids, having played in sketches with them both at First Night Springfield – the New Year’s Eve celebration. That helped to discover Ben’s talent as an entertainer, after which he started a career in that area.

Stephen was raised in Philadelphia, PA, and was educated at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After graduation, he moved to Texas to work at a college there. Then Steve traveled to Ireland, where he started his career as a writer and released a book of short stories. Several years later he returned to Carbondale and met the love of his life, Peg. They created a family and brought up two talented sons – Ben and his older brother. For the major part of his life, Steve served as a professor of English at John A. Logan College. He is retired now but still directs the plays for the college theater.

Ben’s father is a socially active person. He never misses an opportunity to volunteer for some charity organizations. Besides, he is the author of several books.

The father and son Falcone spend a lot of time together despite their busy schedules. They love sports and traveling. Although Stephen is a big fan of his son’s and daughter-in-law’s movies, he spends his free time watching the “Inspector Lewis” series starring Kevin Whately with his wife Peg.

Peg Falcone (mother)

Date of birth: March 1943

The full name of Ben’s mother is Margaret Falcone. Like her husband, she is a Southern Illinois University Carbondale graduate. The woman joined her motherhood with the work of a social specialist. After her retirement, she remained active as a volunteer “to give all she can back to the community’, as she said in her interview.

Flynn Falcone (older brother)

Ben has just one sibling – an older brother Flynn. Falcone Sr has also moved from his native Carbondale to Hollywood to start his career as an actor and film director. Flynn has already directed many movies, the latest of which is the award-winning “The Infiltration” thriller.

Flynn and Ben share a close bond and support each other. Besides, Flynn is a big fan of his sister-in-law Melissa McCarthy and her films.

Ben Falcone earns his living as an actor, writer, and producer. With his wife, Melissa McCarthy, he co-founded the production company “On The Day”, which created films for Fox and Universal Studios.

Benjamin Scott Falcone was born and raised in Carbondale, Illinois, and started at the local Community High School there. He has been interested in acting since the earliest age, being inspired by the example of his older brother. After graduation, Falcone entered the University of Illinois to study communications. Dreaming about a career as an actor, Ben soon moved to Los Angeles. There he joined the rare acting gigs with the work of a waiter in a small restaurant. His life changed after he was hired by the theater company “The Groundlings”, where he met his future wife Melissa McCarthy.

Falcone gained wide recognition after the role of Howard, the main character’s neighbor, in the Friends spin-off “Joey”. Later he played small roles in the series “According to Jim”, “My Name Is Earl” etc.

As a film producer, he co-wrote and directed many films, starring his talented wife. Thus, he stands behind “Life of the Party”, “Tammy”, ‘The Boss”, “Nobodies” etc.

As the author, he wrote 26 songs for “The Looney Tunes Show”, where he landed his mild voice to the cartoon chicken Henery Hawk.

In May 2017 Ben released a book “Being a Dad Is Weird’, where he shared his fatherhood experience and told some family stories about his wife and daughters. His wife Melissa McCarthy also contributed to the book and wrote a foreword.
In addition to Melissa, Ben met other stellar comedians at the Groundlings theater group, like Lisa Kudrow, Kristen Wiig, and Will Ferrell.
He calls his famous wife “Mooch” in the family circle, and obviously, they share the warmest relationships you’ve ever seen. In his birthday congratulation post, Ben wrote to Melissa that he would like to spend the rest of his life lying on the kitchen floor with her.
Ben has endorsed several famous brands, like Washington Mutual Bank and Denim jeans for Target retailer.
His height is 5 ft 6 in and his weight is 148 pounds. His net worth is estimated at $2 million.
He likes “babysitting” his daughters, when Melissa is busy at the set, and he likes it. But he hates some kid’s stuff, like slime. He used to spend the whole day, washing this toy product from the skin, about which he wrote in his Instagram post.
