Mr. Lanter felt the first taste of enormous international fame after the release of the series “Commander in Chief”, where he portrayed Horace Calloway. His screen hero won the hearts of many fans and made Matt’s face recognizable.

Matthew MacKendree Lanter was born in Massillon, Ohio, but after his 8th birthday, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. There he was raised. During the school years, he was very athletic, practiced baseball, golf, and football. After graduation from school, he studied drama art at the University of Georgia and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as an actor.

He started from a small role in the series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and then joined Kaley Cuoco and John Ritter at the set of the sitcom “8 Simple Rules… for Dating My Teenage Daughter”. In 2008-2013 he cemented his initial success in the film industry, having played one of the leading roles in the series “90210”.
