Samantha Olit is the first wife of the legendary musician and a mother of his son Draven Bennington, who was 15 at the moment of his father’s death. Chester met Samantha in 1996, when the latter one worked in the fast food chain “Burger King”. He fell in love with a tall slim woman and proposed her, although at that time he was poor like a church mouse and couldn’t even buy her a ring. But they found the way out – the couple simply tattooed the rings on their fingers. In 2002 Samantha and Chester welcomed their only son and in 2005 the woman filed for divorce. The reason was Bennington’s career, which started taking off at that time, and his love affair with Elka Brand (rumored). He had never been married to Elka, but welcomed a son Jaime with her, too. In addition, he adopted Isaiah – a son from Elka’s previous relationships.
Samantha and her kid were present at Chester’s memorial service. After that the woman criticized the organization of the sad event. She told, that neither she, nor her son were allowed to speak at the service and that Bennington’s parents were not even mentioned. “It seems, that his life consisted of just last 12 years, which he spent with the second wife”, the woman complained in social media.

Sammie (as her friends call her) recorded her first song at the age of 7 to express her pain because of her adoptive mother’s long illness. After that, she danced in the band “Rhythm Kittens”.
Currently, Samantha writes for the online magazine “Certainlyher.com”. The woman seems to be single as of 2023. She spent a lot of time with her family members, including her (and Chester’s son) Draven, godparents Monica Vasquez (the beautician) and Steftone (musician), and Brandon LaBerge “bonus son”, as she calls him.
